Community and Family Resources (CFR) is pleased to announce the opening of a new Recovery House for women at 728 S. 17th St. in Fort Dodge. The community is invited to attend an open house and ribbon cutting with the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance on May 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM. The ribbon cutting will commence at 4:30 PM, and tours of the newly renovated house will be available, along with light refreshments.
Recovery Housing is an important aspect of the continuum of care for individuals with substance use disorders, offering ongoing treatment, comprehensive resources, and peer support. A Recovery House is not just transitional housing but an extension of the therapeutic community. Residents apply to live in the house for up to one year and continue to experience individualized treatment planning as well as group and individual sessions with the clinical staff they have come to know and trust. CFR has been grateful to offer men’s Recovery Housing in Fort Dodge for over 20 years and is looking forward to the opportunity to extend this important resource to women as well.
